Kuala Lumpur International Airport - Client: Malaysia Airports
ARC has been appointed to develop a commercial strategy for the Main Terminal Building and Contact Pier at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. This work involves research amongst over 1,500 passengers and airport users to fully understand their behaviour and requirements, the development of a commercial revenue model, space planning and masterplan design for the retailing and f&b areas, benchmarking against other international airports, recommendations on merchandise and tenant mix, and assistance in developing a commercial marketing strategy to further promote the airport and the retailers. This work is being carried out with a view to ensuring that KLIA remains one of the premier airports in South East Asia.
London Luton Airport - Client: London Luton
ARC carried out a 1,000 interview survey on passenger behaviour, this research work is presented back to the airport's retailers. The airport then works with its retailers to develop a more targeted offer for passengers.
Bristol - Client: Bristol International Airport
ARC and BIA have a longstanding relationship, which has resulted in the undertaking of a fifth wave of passenger behaviour research. This year alone we have carried out quantitative and qualitative work on passenger behaviour, advised on the redevelopment of the terminal building and carried out detailed research on Nuance users.
Belfast - Client: Belfast International Airport
Belfast asked ARC to carry out a series of surveys on passenger behaviour and their requirements. The outputs of this survey work allowed us to advise them on their retail strategy for the coming years.
Mumbai, India - Client: Hochtief
ARC is currently assisting Hochtief and their Indian consortium partners in developing a retail strategy, revenue and rental income forecasts, terminal utilisation, retail space planning and merchandise and tenant mix for the International and Domestic Terminals at Mumbai International Airport in support of the consortium's bid for the airport.

Fraport asked ARC to assist in developing forecasts of retail revenue, space requirements and potential rental income for their B.O.T bid for this new terminal.
Rome - Client: ADR
We are currently working closely with ADR to develop a commercial strategy for the two airports in Rome. This has resulted in ARC carrying out a some 4,000 interviews on departing passengers, arriving passengers and meeters / well wishers at both airports. In addition to this we have run 10 focus groups in Rome and carried out 30 in depth interviews with international passengers. ARC has also conducted a staff questionnaire which was distributed to more than 2,000 workers. Beyond this, to help develop our strategy for ADR we have carried out a detailed price check across 6 international airports to understand ADR's price position.
Varna and Bourgas, Bulgaria - Client: Fraport
ARC carried out commercial revenue, rental income and space demand forecasts for Fraport on Varna and Bourgas Airports. This analysis was used in their bid to operate these two airports.
Alpha Quantitative Research
Alpha asked ARC to carry out detailed quantitative research at it outlets in Belfast, London City, Manchester, Newcastle and Birmingham. This work allowed us to advise Alpha on developing the most appropriate commercial strategy for each of these locations. This work encompassed more than 750 interviews, eight focus groups and more than 60 in depth one-to-one interviews.
Nassau, Bahamas - Client: Fraport
ARC produced forecasts on the retail potential of Nassau Airport for prospective operators Fraport. This work covered detailed analysis on the current retail offer in the Bahamas and the niche that an airport operator could develop in terms of retailing. This analysis incorporated detailed commercial revenue forecasts, space demand and space planning throughout the terminal.
